Taylor Swift's fans are absolutely sure the singer is about to drop new music -- and they're convinced it could come as early as this Friday.

Swifties have been buzzing since the singer reportedly told Perez Hilton that she would be dropping new music before her 30th birthday, which is at the end of this year. And yet, new fan theories argue it will come much, much earlier - as early as this week.

The most telling evidence is on Taylor's Instagram, where her extremely observant fans have caught onto a possible countdown.

On Sunday, she posted this pretty picture of palm trees with a caption of seven palm tree emojis:

Ok, seems simple enough. But the next day, she posted this photo of herself with her hand placed on the sixth step:

Still, it could be all a coincidence, right? Sure, until you see this post from Tuesday:

You'll notice that there are five fence holes. And with that, it looks like Swift really could be counting down to something -- which fans are sure is either a new single or an entire album. No doubt we will see photos representing 4,3,2 and 1, but we will just have to stay tuned and see.

In addition to her social media cues, last fall, Taylor also hinted that her "next chapter" was the one she was most excited about. When accepting her American Music Award forĀ Reputation, she said:

"Guys, I always look at albums as chapters in my life and, to the fans, I am so happy that you like this one. I'm so happy that this means that you liked this one. But I have to be really honest with you about something. I'm even more excited about the next chapter."

And finally, Taylor's also been spotted outside of recording studios over the last few weeks. Just last month, she was reportedly at a New York studio "all day," not leaving until after 9 p.m.
