After checking out the explanation on E!, I can agree with a "no."
In Hollywood, we find that sometimes when something is successful, it gets overdone, stretched out, or otherwise drawn out till it isn't good anymore. Well, from how it's been explained, Big Little Lies should really end where it ended. (SPOILERS AHEAD)
E! says this:
"The series ended with the five women: Madeline (Witherspoon), Celeste (Kidman), Renata (Dern), Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) and Jane (Shailene Woodley) coming together after Zoe pushed Perry (Alexander Skarsgård) to his accidental death while he was attacking the other women. The last shot of the series was the five women and their kids on the beach, bonded for life."
The producer talked about giving the audience "closure," and honestly, if it ended very neatly, why drag it out? Of course, when something is that good, people always want more, but over-extending the story might cause it to not be as good or worth it in the long run.
Would you watch a Big Little Lies season 2? Or do you think it wrapped up perfectly how it ended? Let us know your thoughts!
